About this blog

Why the title Way2much? Well some say If I start to talk on a favoured topic, I say way 2 much. Enough said. I am using this blog to give my opinion on games suitable for beginners for the Nintendo DS. There is very little information available when purchasing games, and it is very easy to be disappointed. I own several games mainly of the puzzle amusement category, and will write about these. Stay tuned!

Find the object games

This is a category of game that is simple enough for anyone to play. You are generally presented with a cluttered background from which to pick out certain objects. Several games are based on this idea, but some are more entertaining than others. Do not play more than one in a row as you will get tired of the genre.
Millionheir
A thin storyline guides you through this game. You are provided with various tools to help you find the objects. A good starter for the beginner, although I did get bored with the limited scenery after a while.
Mystery stories - an adventure game
Follow the main characters  as they progress from scene to scene - no hard decisions to make, just keep clicking. The game can be played in two halves, the change in scenery is refreshing.
Amazing adventures : the forgotten ruins
Follow the lead character along the storyline and find the objects fro a background that happens to be Mayan ruins. This game is made more interesting by the mini games between each scene. This adds variety to the game.
Mystery PI : Portrait of a thief
You are the detective on the trail of a thief. The positives to this game are the good quality graphics which make it difficult to find the objects. As the game progresses, more locations are added to keep interest. The negatives are that the storyline is too thin to support the length of the game. Random clicking is not penalized, leading too easily to lazy play such as clicking every item.
Jack the Ripper
A very simple game which uses the story of this famous case to string the scenes together. Short and entertaining in a limited sort of way.
Titanic Mystery
This game has more structure than just progressing through scene after scene. Select the chapters from a menu to progress through the game. The tragic past story influences the current story. The somewhat rough graphics spoil the look somewhat. An amusing game,  but trade it in when finished.
Nancy Drew : The hidden staircase
This game is a bit more of a challenge. First you have to get used to navigating with the buttons instead of the stylus. Secondly, Nancy has to find the objects within a time limit. If you are tardy, You must repeat the chapter with a new set of objects. Once you are used to this, the game is relatively easy, as the end is too near. Leaves you wanting more. Has replay value because of random object placement.
