About this blog
Why the title Way2much? Well some say If I start to talk on a favoured topic, I say way 2 much. Enough said. I am using this blog to give my opinion on games suitable for beginners for the Nintendo DS. There is very little information available when purchasing games, and it is very easy to be disappointed. I own several games mainly of the puzzle amusement category, and will write about these. Stay tuned!

Under the knife 2
A bit of a change from the puzzle games I usually look at, but it sounded interesting. The best thing for beginners is that it does have easy, normal or hard versions. Certainly the easy version is exactly that; it gives you plenty of explanation about how to use the tools, and guides you through the operations. The stylus use is straightforward, and the game is engaging because you can play it at your own level. Rated: Highly amusing.

Rooms
Ah... a game touted as being full of fiendish puzzles. Or perhaps not; as some gamers have reviewed it. But my point of view is that of a beginner, a non-gamer as such. It seems to have none of the polish or style of other games, but that is easily dismissed. The first level is quite easy enough, but it does get progressively trickier. Rated suitable for a person with persistance.
Help available from the illustrated walkthroughs blog.
Jewel Quest
A game that is primarily focussed on the speed at which you can match gems on a board. It does not seem to need any thinking, as you can randomly move the stylus up and down and side to side alternately and get a better score. The most annoying thing is that you can almost clear the board, and one tiny square in the corner holds you to ransom, and you run out of time.
Rated: Slightly amusing, mostly annoying.

Neves
This is an amusing game that you can play for a while without having to think very hard. It is basically Tangrams ; puzzle pieces that you fit together to make a picture.
Rated OK for beginners, although there are curly ones!

Puzzler collection
This game offers crosswords, fitword, sudoku and wordsearch. Various levels of play, hint system in crosswords. Play timed or at leisure. Easy to play but I prefer Crosswords DS for method of play [you can directly write in the letters] .
Matchstick puzzle by DS
This game contains lots of matchstick puzzles of varying difficulty. One tip that I would give to inexperienced players - the placement of the matchsticks is critical. If you think you have the solution, but it is given as incorrect, try turning the matchstick around. Otherwise there is an illustrated walkthrough blog for answers.
Rated OK for inexperienced gamers.
